What it is:

This is an integration to SAP S/4HANA via the SAP iPaaS, called the SAP Cloud Integration Suite, that shits within SAP’s developer toolkit called SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

How it works:

The Akeneo Accelerators for SAP S/4HANA are a set of prebuilt iFlows deployed within the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Integration Suite. These iFlows serve as reusable integration artifacts that streamline data movement between your SAP ERP system and Akeneo Product Cloud — without the need to build every integration from scratch.

The accelerators support both batch (ERP → PIM) and event-driven (PIM → ERP) synchronization patterns, giving teams flexibility to choose the right integration model for their business processes.

ERP → PIM (Batch Integration)

Using the SAP Integration Suite, the following iFlows automate product data import from SAP S/4HANA into Akeneo PIM:

• Import in Batch Data: Collect and filter relevant product data from SAP S/4HANA and send it to the orchestration flow.
• Message Mapping: Transform SAP fields into the Akeneo data model for attributes, categories, and products.
• Orchestrate Data in Batch: Manage authentication, mapping, and delivery of product information into Akeneo PIM.

PIM → ERP (Event-Driven Integration)

Event-based iFlows leverage Akeneo’s Event Platform to push product updates from Akeneo PIM back into SAP S/4HANA in near real time:

• Event Consumer & Listener: Capture and queue Akeneo PIM events for downstream processing in SAP ERP.
• Subscription Management: Automatically subscribe to product update events through Akeneo’s Event Platform to keep ERP records aligned.

Deploy on SAP BTP

Each accelerator package is delivered as a collection of iFlow artifacts ready to import into your SAP BTP Integration Suite workspace. Once deployed, you simply configure authentication materials, define data filters, and map your SAP and Akeneo data models.
